The
club operates the concept of Service Hours to allow every member
to participate in the operation and development of the club. The
basic principle is that each member can volunteer for a task and
that amount of hours is logged against that member. Members can
choose to do the annual service hours or make an additional contribution
to club funds, typically equal to the annual club fees divided
by eight for every hour not completed. New members are required
to complete the number of service hours before receiving their
full membership card. Full members must complete the number of
service hours to have their membership renewed.
For
new members wishing to learn to fly, we will book you into the
next available slot in out training program then provide 12 flights
over a short period. The aim is to get you to the stage where
you can take-off, fly a circuit, then land. If, at the end of
the 12 flights you are unable to achieve the afforementioned objectives,
you will be booked into the next available training slot. Depending
on the number of novices this may, or may not, be right away.
Further traiing and guidance to Bronze and Silver will be delivered
on an as-required basis.
If
this appeals to you, and you find it acceptable, please download
